Last updated: 30 October 2026

Quickstepz Paediatric Therapy (“Quickstepz”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy and the privacy of your child. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information, including health information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What information we collect

We only collect information that we need to provide our services. This may include:

  • your name, phone number, email address and suburb
  • your child’s name, date of birth and age
  • health and developmental information about your child, including medical history, diagnoses, reports and therapy notes
  • information from other health professionals, educators or referrers, with your consent
  • funding, billing and payment details
  • photos or videos taken during sessions, only with your written consent

How we collect it

We usually collect information directly from you, for example when you contact us, fill in an enquiry form on this website, complete intake paperwork or attend a session in the clinic, at home, at preschool or by telehealth. With your consent, we may also collect information from your child’s doctor, other therapists, educators or funding bodies.

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and book appointments
  • assess your child and plan, provide and review therapy
  • communicate with you about your child’s therapy
  • work with other professionals involved in your child’s care, with your consent
  • manage invoicing, funding and payments
  • meet our legal and professional obligations

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it:

  • with people involved in your child’s care, such as doctors, other therapists or educators, when you have agreed
  • with funding bodies or plan managers where needed to provide or claim for your child’s services
  • with service providers who help us run the practice, such as practice management, email, telehealth and IT providers, who must keep it confidential
  • where we are required or permitted by law, including to reduce a serious threat to someone’s health or safety

Some of our service providers may store information outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Photos and videos

We will never use a photo or video of your child on our website, social media or in other materials without your written consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

How we store and protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including secure systems and restricted access. Health records are kept for as long as required by law and then securely destroyed.
